Projektam izvirzījām galveno mērķi - veicināt jauniešu interesi par politiku, attīstīt prasmes un veidot attieksmes, lai mēs varētu piedalīties lēmumu pieņemšanā un kļūt par aktīviem savas valsts un ES pilsoņiem. Šāda projekta ideja/mērķis radās tāpēc, ka mūsu sabiedrībā, arī mūsu tehnikumā ir daudz aktīvu jauniešu un mēs vēlamies pārstāvēt savu viedokli , taču mums pietrūkst prasmju, uzdrošināšanās, lai ar pārliecību uzrunātu, piemēram, skolas vadību par to, ko mēs gribētu mainīt. Zinām , ka jauniešu vidū ir zema interese par politikas procesiem, jo valda viedoklis, ka tas nav priekš jauniešiem un tas nav interesanti. Bet pieļāvām, ka šādu stereotipu veicina tas, ka mums ir maz zināšanu un izpratnes par to, kas ir politika, kā notiek lēmumu pieņemšana, kāda ir politiķa darba ikdiena un pienākumi. Lai to mainītu , plānojām pilnveidot katrs savas un citu jauniešu kompetences un uzlabot jauniešu pašpārvaldes darbu, lai spētu nopietnāk iesaistīties pārmaiņu veidošanā, patiesi spētu pārstāvētu vienaudžu viedokli, idejas, priekšlikumus. Lai sasniegtu mērķi , izvirzījām un realizējām vairākus uzdevumus. -Organizējām mācību pasākumus, kuros apguvām diskusiju vadīšanas, publiskās runas, lietišķās etiķetes prasmes. -Veidojām izpratni un radījām interesi par politiķa darbu, lēmumu pieņemšanas kārtību LR Saeimā un organizējām aktivitāti ''Saeimas sēdes simulācija''. -Veidojām konstruktīvu sadarbības vidi starp jauniešiem un lēmumu pieņēmējiem un centāmies izvirzīt idejas, priekšlikumus vides uzlabošanai. Padziļinājām savas zināšanas par politiku, izpratni par lēmumu pieņemšanas procesiem dažādos līmeņos. The main goal that we set for the project was to promote young people's interest in politics, develop skills and build attitudes so that we can participate in decision-making and become active citizens of our country and the EU. The idea/goal of such a project arose because there are many active young people in our society, including our VET school, and we want to represent our opinion, but, before the project, we lacked the skills and courage to confidently address, for example, the school administration, and to discuss the issues we would like to change. We know that there is little interest in political processes among young people, because there is a widespread opinion that it is not suitable for young people and it is not interesting. But we assumed that such a stereotype is promoted by the fact that we have little knowledge and understanding of what politics is, how decisions are made, what the daily work and duties of a politician are. In order to change this, we planned to improve our own and other young people's competences and to improve the work of youth self-government in order to be able to get more seriously involved in making changes, to truly be able to represent the opinions, ideas, and proposals of our peers. In order to achieve the goal, we set and implemented several tasks: - We organized training events where we learned the skills of leading discussions, public speaking, and practical etiquette; -We created awareness and promoted interest in the work of a politician, decision-making procedures in the Saeima (i.e. parliament of the Republic of Latvia) and organized the activity "Saeima Session Simulation". - We created a constructive environment of cooperation between young people and decision makers and tried to put forward ideas and proposals for tackling environment-related issues; We deepened our knowledge of politics and understanding of decision-making processes at different levels.
