The University of Malta (UM) always aims to maximise the use of opportunities made available by the Erasmus+ programme to enhance the experience of higher education students and staff. The UM strives not only to ensure that as many beneficiaries as possible benefit, but also to improve the quality of such mobilities, and to support and add value to the personal and professional development of the beneficiaries. This key goal was sought throughout this project by continuing to collaborate with partner universities with whom the UM already has Inter-Institutional Agreements (IIAs), and also by extending these IIAs to include other areas, where possible. This goal was also sought by starting effective collaborations with new partner universities, whilst IIAs that, unfortunately, no longer remained feasible, were terminated. In aiming for this goal, the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme and one of the objectives of the UM's main strategic plan, namely to ensure the continuous development and improvement in internationalisation, were also reached simultaneously. In striving to also ensure the highest quality possible for mobilities and partnerships, the UM rigorously followed Erasmus+ regulations and implemented the necessary procedures and good practices that have been developed throughout the years. As a result, the qualitative aspect has also been maintained, while at the same time, the UM remains committed to maintaining this and improving further, where necessary, for future projects
