Objectives

The project aimed to achieve several objectives across its activities, with a focus on environmental responsibility, leadership development, and intercultural exchange. Aims of Exchange in Italy (A1): The aims of this activity were to help participants better understand environmental issues and social challenges which are present in each other’s countries through workshops and discussions. It also encouraged cultural exchange and appreciation. The activity aimed to increase environmental awareness, leading participants to make informed choices and adopt eco-friendly practices in their youth organisations. It also focused on building international networks/relationships, allowing participants to share resources and ideas which can be used to deal with local issues. Aims of Exchange in Georgia (A4): This activity aimed to equip young leaders from Malta, Turkey, and Georgia with tools to promote eco-friendly habits within their communities. The project focused on raising awareness about environmental issues like waste management and sustainability, helping participants adopt more green habits in their daily lives. The activity also promoted intercultural dialogue, allowing young people to learn from each other's experiences and environmental practices. Through the creation of a board game, digital resources, and workshops, the project extended its impact to local communities. Aims of Youth Leader Seminar in Malta (A3): This seminar focused on enhancing youth leadership by deepening participants' understanding of leadership ethics and responsibilities. The objective was to empower youth leaders to create inclusive environments in their organisations and engage more actively in their communities. It also indirectly addressed social cohesion and environmental issues, encouraging participants to explore how they could contribute to their communities through leadership aligned with Catholic values. Aims of Training in Toledo, Spain (A2): This activity aimed at training leaders who already have some leadership experiences from various EU countries to develop a more integrated approach to personal and environmental care. It encouraged participants to reflect on the role of youth leadership and the important task of accompanying young people in their different walks of life. By working together, participants gained skills in leadership, ecology, and personal development, which they then applied in their home organisations in the hopes of fostering greater environmental and social awareness. Aims of Training on Volunteer Support and Turnover (A5): The objective of this activity was to explore and address eight priorities, including leadership training, volunteer retention and international collaboration. Participants worked on developing concrete action plans that could be implemented both nationally and internationally. The goal was to create lasting partnerships between organisations and develop proposals and concrete methods of how to support volunteers in youth organisations. Aims of Eurocourse (A7): This activity aimed to promote solidarity in a multicultural context, encouraging participants to engage in activities that would foster a deeper understanding of societal challenges. The project equipped future leaders with the skills and encouraged them to take action within their communities, promoting social cohesion and the exchange of values and traditions across cultures.
