The experience of pain related to stress and anxiety, is a reality for young people that has a strong effect on their mental health and psychological well being. The project wanted to harness the power of the natural environment as a means of helping young people to engage with each other and their inner selves through outdoor activity. It is a means to connect with the environment and other young people and empower them to deal with stress which results from the experiences of loss, depression and anxiety. With this in mind, one main objective of the training course was to explore and promote innovative, creative and effective youth work. The training course offered youth workers the opportunity to experience, explore and develop powerful, nonformal methods to support their youth work. The participants had the opportunity to understand how to develop their competence in accompanying young people on their journey of growth using "blue space" environments. It is expected that both the youth workers and the young people that they will eventually work with, will benefit from the competences gained during the training course. These competences will enable them to be better citizens and positive contributors to society as youth workers and as young people. Another important objective that was tackled during the training course is the work for sustainability and the mitigation of climate change. The project used the natural environment and through nonformal, experiential activities and discussion, explored how to use it sustainably for the benefit of all involved. The appreciation of the value of the natural environment was accompanied by a healthy use of the resources that will benefit the user without damaging the environment itself. Digitalization was not one of the main objectives. However, since the digital world features prominently in the lives of young, and is possibly one of the sources of stress in their lives, time was given to understanding how the digital world has a direct impact on the mental wellbeing of young people. During the training course the digital world was very present through the use of social media. Moreover, a workshop about the how AI tools can have an impact even in an experiential, outdoor environment was organized. The aim of this workshop was to explore how the digital and the natural environments can share a positive co-existence.
