Objectives

Objective 1 was to help the youth get more proficient at expressing themselves and sharing values through improving their writing ability. This also improved their job prospects, increasing the kinds and scope of jobs they can get, as well as giving them an activity they can use in their downtime. This project also had the objective of giving the partner organizations the capacity and the experience to be more active in digital youth work through online channels.

Background

Needs of Organizations: We saw the need to develop online youth work. All three organizations have previously run KA1 events focused on intercultural skills and active citizenship for youths. However, these require extensive preparation and can't be easily replicated locally. Regular online workshops can reach more youths, especially those unable to travel. They also offer partners a chance to strengthen international cooperation and share youth work experiences (e.g., motivation, inclusion, learning support, safety). Needs of Target Groups: International experience—working and communicating with peers from other countries—is increasingly valuable in today’s job market. These workshops provided such exposure and helped improve English communication skills, an area often underdeveloped in schools. Youth work must stay innovative to engage younger generations growing up in a rapidly changing world. While gaming attracts youths, there are few methods to develop writing, structure, clarity, and expression— skills crucial in many careers. This project addressed this gap, benefiting both youths and youth workers.
