Objectives

Through the KA131 funding programme the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) is working to achieve the goal of making mobility a reality for all. We do this by promoting mobility and by removing obstacles for underrepresented groups. Learning mobility has a proven positive effect on at least four of the eight key competences needed for Lifelong Learning: multilingualism; interpersonal skills and the ability to adopt new competences; active citizenship; and cultural awareness and expression. The cooperation with our partners that is made possible by the Erasmus+ programme provides us with opportunities for educational innovation and curriculum development. This offers us new insights and ideas on educational techniques and subject specific approaches that can be adopted and incorporated in our curricula. These insights and experiences strengthen our mission as AUAS to educate the future professional of a world in which intercultural and international awareness is becoming more and more important. Through KA131, we also aim to strengthen and intensify the collaboration in the U!REKA European University network.
