The University of Amsterdam (UvA) continued to strengthen its role in Erasmus+ KA131 during Call 2023, with a focus on broadening international mobility and fostering academic and professional growth for both students and staff. Through participation in the programme, the UvA contributes to building a more inclusive, sustainable, and interconnected European Higher Education Area, while equipping its community with the skills and perspectives needed in an international context. A central aim in this call was to better synchronise project administration with UvA’s academic calendar. The 2023 budget was therefore primarily allocated to mobilities in the 2023–2024 academic year, with the option of applying any remaining funds to 2024–2025. This represented a return to a more regular funding cycle after the exceptional budget adjustments in the aftermath of COVID-19. In parallel, additional efforts were made to highlight the availability of inclusion top-ups for students, in order to ensure that mobility opportunities are accessible to a wider range of participants. The UvA also placed stronger emphasis on the potential of Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), exploring their added value alongside traditional forms of mobility.
