During the exchange, we wanted to make young people more aware that they were the future and could change it. In order to deal with urgent issues in the future, it was important to learn to work together, 'Together Everyone Achieves More.' Today's youth would be the next generation to make the world an improved place and solve or contribute to solving climate change problems; teamwork would be necessary to tackle these issues. For this, it was also important that the participants had a good understanding of who they were and what their qualities were. It was important not to let social media influence them. We hoped to contribute to and improve the self-confidence of the youngsters. The objectives of the You(th) Got This project were as follows: - Creating a safe, informal learning environment, where participants could improve their awareness of issues related to mental health and well-being; self-development and cooperation/team building through peer-to-peer learning; - Promoting mutual understanding, tolerance, as well as a safe atmosphere where stereotypical thinking, prejudice, and discrimination could be challenged, thus boosting cultural awareness and expression. - Promotion of self-confidence among participants through practical sessions and disposal of their dormant potential; - Identifying the competencies that could be obtained through European non-formal learning projects and their certification by Youthpass; - Exploring the possibilities of the Erasmus + program as a tool for cultural education and mobility. An interesting part was the involvement of the host parents. The participants stayed with local host families. We made use of this concept to give participants a full ‘foreign experience’ with all habits included.
