We wanted to promote and support our students and staff in pursuing an international experience that would enable them to build competencies that would serve them well in their studies and forthcoming careers (students), and present work at OsloMet (staff) within the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme and in line with values and goals in OsloMet's strategies and priorities. We also wanted to welcome students and staff from partners abroad to enrich the environment at OsloMet with an international perspective that would benefit students and staff here as well as benefiting the incoming guests. We also wanted to support staff in building networks to enable them to be part of Erasmus+ projects and even Horizon Europe projects further down the line. By using Blended Intensive Programme, (both sending and hosting) we hoped to reach students that would not normally be able to go abroad for a longer period of time. We also indicated in our application that we would use some of the funding to cover international mobility in order to give students grants to UK.
