Objectives

UiT The Arctic University of Norway has been a long-term member of the Erasmus+ programme. Our aim with the programme is to strengthen cooperation with partners abroad. By allowing our students and employees to benefit from the knowledge they gain at other institutions, our own organisation will be strengthened. Interaction across institutions and national borders helps build knowledge which UiT The Arctic University of Norway will benefit from. This KA131 project contributes to some of this development. Through this project our institution has sent students and staff on exchange and received students and staff from abroad for exchange to our campuses. UiT The Arctic University of Norway has also sent students and staff to Blended intensive programmes, which has inspired our staff to work towards arranging Blended intensive programmes at our institution, as we see in later projects. Our institution has also sent several staff members to an English language course which has strengthen the language skills in our organisation. The goal is to further increase the number of Erasmus+ outbound mobility. Our institution also has a strong focus on traineeships and wishes to develop this field further. Increased staff mobility is also a focus area and UiT The Arctic University of Norway aim to increase the number of participations in Blended intensive programmes for students and staff, as well as arranging blended intensive programmes at our institution. Through this project we have received knowledge that can help reach these goals in future projects. Our institution also wishes to focus on other parts of the Erasmus+ programme, for example Key Action 2. The cooperation UiT The Arctic University of Norway has with our partners abroad can be a tool in developing new projects in the future. Our institution regards the Erasmus+ programme as one of our main exchange programmes and increased activity through the Erasmus+ programme will have a positive impact on our organisation.
