Objectives

The primary objective of implementing the Erasmus KA131 project was to enhance mobility opportunities for both students and staff. For students, this meant facilitating study and traineeship placements abroad, while staff benefited from teaching and training exchanges. At the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), we are committed to preparing graduates for an increasingly international job market and ensuring that all students have access to meaningful global experiences during their studies. On a broader scale, the project aimed to strengthen students’ skill sets, improve their employability, and foster cultural and linguistic competencies. Mobility activities also play a key role in developing and deepening institutional partnerships across Europe. Incoming students and staff enrich the academic and social environment at USN by bringing diverse perspectives and experiences. Staff mobility for training and teaching contributes to professional development, the exchange of best practices, and the acquisition of new skills. These activities are essential for enhancing the quality and relevance of education, and for equipping students with the comparative competencies needed to thrive in a global workforce. Through this project, we sought to increase the number of mobilities, broaden students’ academic and cultural horizons, and reinforce the international focus of higher education at USN.
