Objectives

The SUNRISE project's main goal was to increase high school student's interest in and knowledge of sustainable energy while also giving them the tools they need to pursue future employment in this industry. The project's second main goal was to inform youth about the value of renewable energy sources and how they can help combat climate change. Project helps students develop green skills that increase their employability by giving them theoretical and practical information about sustainable energy. The project also provided materials and advice to help students investigate job options in the sustainable energy industry. SUNRISE promotes cross-border sustainable practices, intercultural learning, and educational content enrichment through transnational collaborations.

Background

In order to meet the growing need for education and awareness regarding sustainable energy among young people, particularly high school students between the ages of 14 and 19, the SUNRISE project was started. SUNRISE sought to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and abilities in the field of sustainable energy solutions and associated employment prospects, acknowledging a knowledge gap in this area. Through the provision of educational materials, training sessions, and practical experiences, the project aimed to provide young people with the means to make significant contributions to the sustainable energy industry, eventually promoting employment and tackling the issues posed by climate change. By focusing on sustainable development, youth empowerment, and skill development, this project is in line with Erasmus Plus KA2 collaborative partnerships goals.
