Objectives

The project "Mobility of students and staff in higher education institutions supported by Internal Policy Funds (KA131-HED)", implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals, aimed to provide comprehensive support for participants' development while strengthening the position of Wrocław University of Science and Technology as a modern, internationally engaged, innovative institution committed to building a strong European community. The core objective of the project was to foster the all-round development of its participants by enhancing their professional, personal, and intercultural competencies, as well as improving their language skills. Educational mobility also contributed to increased satisfaction with studies and professional life and fostered greater awareness of social, economic, and political issues in the context of the contemporary challenges faced by Europe. A particular emphasis was placed on promoting key values of the European Union, such as democracy, social justice, equal opportunities, tolerance, openness, respect for human rights, and the idea of a shared European identity. The participants of the project included students, doctoral candidates, graduates, as well as academic, research, and administrative staff of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Their involvement not only enriched their academic and professional experience but also enhanced the prestige and attractiveness of a WUST degree. By enabling participants to complete part of their studies, internships, or professional responsibilities abroad, the project directly contributed to the internationalisation of the university’s educational offer – a core component of modern higher education. Special attention was given to the implementation of the Erasmus+ programme priorities, which include: -inclusion and diversity, by supporting the participation of individuals with fewer opportunities and ensuring equal access to educational mobility; -digital transformation, by developing digital competences and promoting innovative forms of teaching, learning, and online collaboration; -environmental sustainability, by raising ecological awareness and encouraging the adoption of “green” practices when planning and implementing mobility; -participation in democratic life, by fostering civic engagement and empowering young people to actively shape the future of Europe. The project also supported the creation of a strong and recognisable brand of Wrocław University of Science and Technology as a modern, competent, and internationally engaged institution. Strategic partnerships with leading technical universities and comprehensive higher education institutions across Europe enabled the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices, which significantly contributed to enhancing the quality of education at our university. Moreover, the project served as a platform for promoting European values and supporting education based on equality, accessibility, and openness. Through its implementation, Wrocław University of Science and Technology continues to build its position as a forward-looking institution, socially responsible, globally aware, and ready to face the challenges of the future.
