Objectives

The adopted university development strategy assumes the need to internationalize scientific and teaching activities, and consequently, to develop cooperation with global research centers, as well as inevitable competition with large global and domestic universities for a position in international rankings. Rapid technological development and related competences required from graduates, resulting in the need for constant analysis of trends occurring in the environment and development of competences of university employees. Dynamic and difficult to predict variability of the environment, requiring active monitoring of changes and quick response to changes in rankings important for the university, affects the university's internationalization policy, which must take all actions and use various tools for this purpose. One of them is participation in the Erasmus program. The aim of the program is to open up to broad international cooperation, recognizing the principle of mobility as an essential standard in the process of education and professional development. This is a key task in the implementation of the university’s internationalization process. The elements supporting this process include ensuring the appropriate selection of partners and international educational projects. When concluding partnership agreements, the university will be guided by: • geographical location (diversity of languages, cultures and offers), • striving to enrich the profile of the mobility participant with experience in an international environment, • convergence of educational programs (including agreements on double diplomas), • interests and scientific and didactic needs of the academic community. An important complement to the university's activity in the international environment are activities related to the activation of bilateral academic exchange of both employees and students. An increase in the number of partnerships and the involvement of university employees in building a cooperation network will ensure an increase in the number and importance of international projects. Development programs with renowned partners from the science and business sector will ensure the university's recognition and contribute to building the image of a key partner in leading fields of science. The development of mobility and international cooperation is therefore an important complement to the activity of the Rzeszów University of Technology in the area of building a cooperation network, this time especially in the personal dimension of employees and students. Intensification of academic exchange, promotion and dissemination of mobility results and employee achievements will affect the development of the educational, scientific and research offer and increase the professional competences of the academic community. This will also translate into an increase in the number of candidates for studies from Poland and abroad. Strengthening participation in projects, inter-university networks, international associations, expert networks and educational rankings. Creating and developing short mobility programs for foreign students. Implementing digital tools for electronic document circulation in cooperation with foreign partner universities. Initiating new partnerships for cooperation and strengthening existing ones within the EU and in non-European countries. Strengthening relations with Polish centers abroad and diplomatic missions for the purpose of recruitment for studies. Increasing the mobility of employees and students within the framework of international agreements. Increasing the opportunities for people from disadvantaged backgrounds to participate in international mobility. Supporting initiatives of interactive academic meetings with experts in the international field. The project objective from the assumed the implementation of 166 mobilities with 104 partner universities and 49 companies/institutions, in the period from 1st June 2023 to 31st July 2025.
