Objectives

The project aimed to meet the needs of science and development on the part of universities and foreign partners, the need to acquire knowledge, exchange experiences, good practices, shape attitudes, awareness, improve the competences of participants, joint project activities and shape the partners' ability to undertake activities on the international arena. The aim of the project was to support the educational, professional and personal development of individuals in the context of education and training in Europe and beyond, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth and the creation of high-quality jobs. In addition, it aimed to promote social inclusion, innovation, and the digital and green transformation of Europe, as well as to strengthen European identity and active citizenship. The main objective and goal of the project was: - to support students and staff in implementing foreign mobility; - to enhance and develop the internationalisation of the university (e.g. strengthening existing cooperation with foreign partners, establishing new partnerships, etc.); -increasing professional, language, social and soft skills (e.g. knowledge of foreign languages, learning ability, initiative, entrepreneurship, cultural, social and environmental awareness, etc.). The university has set specific objectives for the actions it undertakes: • promoting the educational mobility of groups and individuals; • promoting excellence, creativity and innovation at the organisational and policy level in the field of education and training; • promoting cooperation, quality, social inclusion, equal access, creativity and innovation at organisational and non-organisational levels; • promoting green, ecological initiatives and attitudes; • promoting a democratic society, respect for human rights and civic engagement. • promoting digital technologies. The activities carried out are part of the strategy of the University of Zielona Góra (UZ) (https://erasmus.uz.zgora.pl/do-pobrania). The document's strategic and operational objectives for the university include increasing the number of international projects, increasing activity in acquiring and implementing projects financed by EU funds, strengthening international cooperation, and increasing the number of international students. The university's internationalisation index is the result of people's mobility, knowledge transfer, project activities and international cooperation. The growing interest in participating in international projects means that internationalisation is not only a trend in the development of higher education and science, but also one of the most important challenges for most of the country's leading and internationally recognised universities. This is also evidenced by the growing number of foreign students at the University of Zielona Góra. UZ strives to be a university of the future, supporting green initiatives and emphasising effective education for people with special needs, including educational needs related to disability. It pursues a policy of equal opportunities, which aims to level the playing field for people with fewer opportunities and in a worse financial situation, and ensures equality in terms of gender, race, religion, orientation, etc. Catching up with the leaders in the country and gaining international recognition are among the fundamental goals that the University of Zielona Góra wants to achieve through, among other things, the implementation of Erasmus+ projects, as well as the goals of the university's internationalisation strategy (Rector's Order No. 96 of 15 July 2025).
