The aim of the project was to enhance international cooperation, implement the European Commission’s priorities in the field of internationalization, and improve the internationalization indicators of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL). The priorities included, among others: strengthening relations between partners, developing students’ competencies through academic mobility, introducing innovative teaching practices, intensifying cross-sector cooperation, increasing the attractiveness of KUL’s educational offer, exchanging European values with partners from the EU and third countries, as well as improving the quality of learning outcomes in the context of the Polish and European labour market. As part of the project, KUL students benefited from the university’s internationalization efforts, gaining wider access to innovative forms of education (including Blended Intensive Programmes – BIP), courses conducted by lecturers from partner universities, and opportunities to participate in international initiatives, also within the framework of “internationalization at home.” Thanks to the expansion of cooperation with foreign academic institutions, their prospects for future mobility — both for studies and internships — significantly increased. In this way, the project contributed to strengthening students’ intercultural competences and enhancing their position on the Polish and European labour market. The project also enabled the mobility of academic and administrative staff, supporting knowledge transfer, the building of strategic partnerships, and the development of staff competencies. These activities aimed to improve the quality of higher education, foster participants’ skills, and strengthen both international cooperation and KUL’s standing on the international stage — among partners from the EU and beyond. An important aspect was also building the university’s capacity within the Erasmus programme, with a view to implementing future KA2 projects, through the professional execution of the KA 131 2023 project.
