Objectives

The most important objective of the Erasmus+ project at Lodz University of Technology was to provide systemic support for the internationalisation processes of the university, in line with its long-term development strategy in the areas of education, scientific research and cooperation with the socio-economic environment – at local, European and global levels. Participation in the programme enabled the implementation of measures to support high-quality education, the internationalisation of study programmes, the development of language and intercultural competences of students and staff, and the creation of a modern, open and diverse academic environment. The project also made it possible to deepen international cooperation and strengthen the university's position as an active partner in the implementation of common European goals in the field of education, innovation and social development. The Erasmus+ programme created a space for integrating the activities of Lodz University of Technology with the key priorities of the European Union, especially in the context of digitalisation, ecological transformation, sustainable development and strengthening the flexibility of education systems by creating flexible learning pathways. The implementation of the project has allowed the university not only to promote European values and increase its visibility on the international stage, but also to actively participate in the creation of educational and research cooperation networks with foreign partners. As a result, Lodz University of Technology has strengthened its role as an important academic centre responding to contemporary social, technological and economic challenges, and as a university attracting students and staff from different parts of Europe and the world. Mobility has contributed not only to the development of academic and professional skills, but also to the formation of attitudes of openness, cooperation and involvement in the life of the international academic community. It is worth noting that the project enabled the implementation of blended mobility, combining physical and virtual components. Such solutions, in line with a modern approach to higher education, have made international mobility more accessible to a wider group of participants, while taking into account the needs of people with disabilities. Blended mobility also supports the implementation of flexible education models and enables effective inter-institutional cooperation in the dynamically changing environment of higher education.
