Objectives

The implementation of the Erasmus+ project under Action 131 represented an important stage for our institution in enhancing the quality and internationalisation of educational activities, as well as in developing the competences of the entire academic community – students, teaching staff, and administrative employees. The project was designed to address both the individual needs of mobility participants and the strategic goals of the institution, as outlined in the Erasmus Policy Statement and in line with the directions for the development of higher education at the national and European level. As part of the project, one student mobility was carried out in the form of a traineeship at a partner organisation in Spain, involving a student from the Faculty of Computer Science. The aim was to provide the participant with practical professional experience in an international environment, to improve language and intercultural competences, and to strengthen professional skills related to the field of study. Thanks to this mobility, the student was able to broaden professional perspectives, increase competitiveness on the labour market, and develop adaptability to new conditions. The project also prepared the participant for effective functioning in a culturally diverse environment, which is an essential aspect of the contemporary labour market. The project also involved academic staff in training mobilities. The objective was to enhance teaching competences, explore innovative teaching methods, strengthen digital competences, and observe good practices applied in partner organisations. Through these mobilities, academic teachers enriched their professional toolkit with new instruments and teaching approaches, increasing the attractiveness of classes and better responding to the needs of contemporary students. Another important goal was to enable staff to exchange experiences with representatives of foreign organisations and to integrate these inspirations into their own teaching practice. The project also included the mobility of administrative staff, whose goal was to develop skills in mobility management, international project administration, and to learn procedures applied in partner organisations. Participation in these mobilities enabled them to streamline administrative processes within the sending institution, particularly in the areas of communication with partners, preparation of documentation, and the implementation of digital tools. As a result, participants improved the quality of support provided to students and staff involved in mobilities, which contributed to raising the overall standards of the institution’s work. At the institutional level, the project aimed to support internationalisation by developing cooperation with partner organisations in Europe, expanding networks, and laying the foundations for future joint educational initiatives. It was also intended to enhance the quality of teaching and management through the implementation of innovative pedagogical and organisational solutions identified during the mobilities. The project was fully aligned with the horizontal priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme: Inclusion and equality – ensuring equal access to mobilities, including transparent recruitment procedures and support for participants with fewer opportunities. Digitalisation – implementing digital tools to improve mobility processes. Sustainability and European values – promoting openness, intercultural dialogue, and solidarity through participation in mobilities and sharing experiences. The implementation of the project also pursued strategic objectives such as: strengthening the institution’s position at the local, regional, and international levels, promoting the Erasmus+ Programme and European values within the academic and local community, developing an organisational culture based on openness, cooperation, and pursuit of quality, creating a foundation for future projects and long-term international cooperation. By implementing this project, we aimed to support the development of mobility participants – including the student, academic staff, and administrative employees – to raise the quality of teaching and administrative services, and to strengthen cooperation with partner organisations across Europe. The project became an important tool for implementing the Erasmus Policy Statement, realising the institution’s development strategy, and building its position as a modern, open, and internationalised institution.
