The implementation of the Erasmus+ KA131-2023 project was an integral part of the development strategy of the University of Bielsko-Biala (UBB), whose priority is the internationalisation of the institution and the creation of an open, pro-European academic environment. Mobility projects constitute one of the key tools supporting this goal, enabling the development of an environment based on knowledge, innovative teaching methods and English-taught programmes, as well as the implementation of the concept of “internationalisation at home.” Within the project, the following specific objectives were pursued: - increasing the number of mobilities of students, academic staff and administrative staff, - strengthening cooperation and the exchange of experiences with existing partners in international educational projects, - expanding cooperation with new foreign educational centres, enterprises and institutions, - developing the number and quality of international educational and social projects, - adapting the functioning of the Erasmus+ Programme at UBB to contemporary administrative requirements, in particular with regard to EWP, - promoting the Erasmus+ Programme within the academic community and the region. The project also implemented the horizontal priorities of Erasmus+. In the area of inclusion and diversity, the University offered support mechanisms for participants with fewer opportunities, with the aim of increasing the accessibility of mobility. In the field of ecological transformation, Green Travel solutions were promoted, encouraging participants to use sustainable means of transport. At the same time, the project supported digital transformation – both through the implementation of electronic mobility management tools (EWP) and by developing the digital competences of participants. An equally important element was strengthening participation in democratic life and promoting European values, which occurred naturally in the course of working and studying in a multicultural environment.
