The Erasmus+ KA131 Project 2023 implemented by Poznan University of Technology aimed to support the international mobility of students and staff, as well as to strengthen existing forms of cooperation and develop new ones with foreign higher education institutions. Project activities included student exchanges for studies and traineeships, staff mobilities for teaching assignments, and training mobilities for both academic and administrative staff. At the same time, incoming mobilities of students and staff from partner universities were also carried out. Although financed by the sending institutions, these mobilities formed an integral part of the university’s internationalisation efforts, contributing to the exchange of experiences, the development of competences, and the building of lasting academic partnerships. The project enabled the continuation and further development of cooperation with universities from programme and associated countries within Erasmus+. It encompassed both well-established partnerships and the initiation of new collaborations that fostered the exchange of knowledge, teaching and organisational practices, and the implementation of good governance in higher education. Mobilities contributed to enhancing participants’ linguistic, professional, and intercultural competences, strengthening their ability to operate in diverse academic and professional environments. The implementation of the project was in line with the priorities set out in the Development Strategy of Poznan University of Technology 2021–2030, which highlights the strategic importance of the Erasmus+ programme in the university’s internationalisation process. The strategy emphasises the need for active participation in European and national programmes supporting the mobility of students, doctoral candidates, and staff, the strengthening of cooperation with partners from both the European Union and beyond, and participation in international educational and research projects. The KA131 Project 2023 made a significant contribution to the achievement of these goals, reinforcing the position of Poznan University of Technology in the European and global academic arena. It made it possible to expand the network of international contacts and to improve the quality of education through the exchange of experiences and knowledge transfer. The project also played an important role in promoting both the university and the city of Poznań as an attractive academic centre, open to international cooperation and actively engaged in the European Higher Education Area.
