Objectives

The overall aim of our accreditation project was to develop a comprehensive educational programme demonstrating how crafts and handmade activities can serve as modern tools for youth work. Our objective was to empower young people not only creatively, but also socially, emotionally, and professionally. By combining non-formal education with crafts, we wanted to give young people the opportunity to discover new passions, develop life skills, foster their sense of agency and entrepreneurship, and enhance their well-being. The project had a strong intercultural dimension, allowing young people from different countries and backgrounds to exchange experiences, work in international teams, discover new cultures, and build intercultural competencies. We aimed to break the common stereotype of crafts as a hobby reserved for older generations, showing instead that crafts can be a dynamic and promising career path for young people in today’s creative industries. Another important objective was to strengthen international cooperation between organizations working with youth and crafts in Central and Eastern Europe, create practical educational tools for teachers and youth workers, and build long-term support networks for young craft makers.
