Objectives

The goal of our project was to support the development of young people and also youth workers through the implementation of the key EU Youth Goals, which, among other things, promote sustainable development, active participation in democratic life and strengthening the skills needed in a digital world. We have established a holistic development of youth and people working with them, supporting them in becoming aware, responsible and active citizens, ready for the challenges of the modern world. We have been pursuing this mission for 14 years, so the accreditation project was another step in building more conscious youth and youth workers. Each of our project activities also had specific objectives: -SelfAccepDance 2 - youth from Italy, Portugal and Poland once again developed their self-awareness, appreciated their unique talents and discovered new layers of self-acceptance through body and movement methods. The project concluded with a performance on the streets of the city of Lublin, in which the youth invited residents to increase their level of self-acceptance through unrestrained dance moves. In relation to EU Youth Goals, in this activity we emphasized Mental Health & Wellbeing of Europe's youth. -Down to Earth - an activity where we especially developed the competencies of youth workers in crisis management and the use of the environment and sustainable methods to support youth and build a safe community full of space for social action and activity. Youth workers from Europe worked in the face of the overarching goals, which were green practices and EU Youth Goals -Totally Understanding (Training of Youthworkers) - the activity involved the use of digital and virtual components and EU Youth Goals, so we focused on the development of youth workers in digital competencies to recognize and develop both youthworkers and the youth they work with every day. -Youth Participation at hearts and minds - a training activity aimed at youth workers exploring the topic of youth participation in democratic life. Participants learned about how to nurture quality youth participation while taking care of the mental health of the youth they work with, as well as their own. In addition, everyone was able to exchange practices for effective action in the non-governmental sector. -Move Your Mindset - young people from Portugal, Estonia, Hungary and Poland took part in an exchange during which, using themselves and invited experts, they learned to identify the mechanisms of everyday problems and how to effectively deal with them based on their decisions. Strongly emphasized here was the importance of physical activity for health, well-being, interpersonal relations and a sense of belonging, and building a healthy approach to environmental, cultural and social demands. At the same time, participants improved their interpersonal and communication skills, all of which contributed to the higher goal of taking care of their own mental health and wellbeing (Youth Goal #5 - Mental Health and Wellbeing). -PerforME- The aim of the exchange was to increase the participation of underage youth in democratic life and to draw their attention to EU youth goals. We invited young people from Northern Ireland and Latvia to workshops to improve public speaking skills and help them gain the courage to express themselves in adolescence. The development of communication skills, assertiveness and self-confidence was crucial for the participants because of the hardships and challenges of adolescence and the geographical, economic and, above all, social constraints they observed. The ultimate goal for us as a Foundation was to invite young people from Lublin and Europe to reach new levels of empowerment and new competencies in the implementation of Erasmus+ projects. All 6 activities within the framework of the accreditation year were implemented in cooperation with active individuals who joined at the stage of: planning, implementation and dissemination of results. As a result, the number of young people experienced in the implementation of mobility projects is growing, and many of them continue to work with us, implement similar projects in other organizations or become part of European networks of people who speak out about the possibilities of international activities (i.e. EuroPeers Network).
