Larp Alchemy is a series of Training Courses for Youth workers and game designers on the topic of LARP – Life Action Role Playing games. Larp Alchemy is an original authorship educational program created with a passion for transformative games and creative learning. Each training is individually crafted by the team of Nausika Foundation and professional game designers. The participants are invited to co-create the content of the Training in the long term. Previous editions proved that content, methodology and structure are appreciated by the participants who developed a kind of collective identity of Alchemists and spread the enthusiasm in their local circles, schools and youth centres where their colleagues also wanted to be trained with the same methodology. We've been asked for more trainings and more possibilities to collaborate, got hundreds of applications and requests, and former participants created their own projects based on Larp Alchemy and still keep the community alive. As we got confirmation that Action Plan that we've created in our Accreditation is working well and enthusiastically appreciated by the participants, we've decided to continue as planned. As a result of extraordinary interest in our Larp Alchemy Training Courses with hundreds of applications we've organized two activities: 1. Larp Alchemy The Boiling Cauldron TC #3 advanced with learning objectives to: - Explore advanced levels and new trends in the LARP (Live Action Role Play) design - Play, share, test, create, adapt various LARP scenarios - Analyze the learning potential and social impact of LARP - Empower the larping community and connections across European countries 2. Larp Alchemy Youth Worker ToolBox TC #4 beginners, learning objectives: - Discover 1-day easy-to-run EDU-LARP scenarios - Learn how to organize and facilitate LARP games in a complex way by yourself - Experience 5 LARP games during the Training. Additionally, we organized complimentary local activities. We don't list it in official activities as we didn't get a budget for that, nevertheless, they were part of our long-term strategy that we also included in Accreditation plans. Local Activities. We aimed to empower young people, giving them space, mentoring and tools for their initiatives, especially connected with sustainability and climate education, encouraging to participate in creating climate education and revitalization of urban spaces. We also wanted to be included in the youth policy-making in Kraków to be sure that the climate education perspective will also be represented. And also create a platform for Adepts of Larp Alchemy Trainings (a dedicated server on Discord) to meet, design, test, play and disseminate results from Larp Alchemy. As we planned in our Action Plan from Accreditation with Larp Alchemy Training Courses we aimed to expand Nausika team trained in eduLarp and game-based methodology, constantly improve our competences to be able to provide the highest quality support. Also, we wanted to enrich the educational offer available to young people with modern gaming tools. Another important objective for us was to promote non-formal education methods among teachers, school principals, and officials responsible for education and youth policy, home workers culture, libraries and other people working with youth in formal way. With Larp Alchemy courses we've been able to achieve all of that and with local activities in Nausika Hub we reinforced our results and added new ones. Among others, empowering youth groups, their initiatives and agency, especially in the field of climate education. Also we aimed to support the effectiveness of civic participation bodies in the field of environment and climate education, and happily through meetings of the Civic Dialogue Comittee for Youth Policy and consultants from Climate Education Center in Krakow.
