Emission - is not our mission! was a common project of young people from Poland, Slovakia, and Turkey. A huge amount of meat is consumed in our countries. When consuming such dishes, few people think about the fact that hundreds of thousands of animals are killed every day, they do not wonder what the meat production process looks like and whether it is environmentally friendly. Meat production is responsible for almost 20% of greenhouse gas emissions, which hurt the climate and environment. Meat production also means wasting huge amounts of water, using artificial fertilizers and polluting water, cutting down forests, e.g. for pastures, depriving animals of their homes, and even extinct animal and plant species. A large amount of meat is also wasted during production and by us, the customers. The project goals that we achieved were: - raising awareness and expanding knowledge about meat production and its negative consequences for the natural environment and climate; - raising awareness of the negative effects of food (meat) waste; - increasing ecological awareness (how changes in our behaviors and habits can have a positive impact on the planet); - expanding competencies that will influence positive changes in our lives, but also in the environment around us (e.g. composing original meatless dishes from traditional and regional products or reducing food waste);
