Career Compass was a youth exchange project that aimed to support young people in planning their career paths and entering the job market. It was created in response to the struggles faced by young people in deciding what to do after secondary school or university. The project team believed that a youth exchange could provide valuable resources and skills to increase young people's chances of finding employment or alternative paths. They conducted research and a needs assessment survey to identify specific needs and issues, such as difficulty finding a job after COVID-19, creating a good CV, and deciding on a career path. Based on this research, the team developed three objectives: helping young people gain a better understanding of available career fields, providing career management tools to increase self-awareness about their strengths and employability skills, and boosting participants' confidence in their ability to enter the job market and promote their unique skill sets. Overall, the project aimed to improve young people's employability chances and support them in achieving their career goals.
