By implementing the project, we responded to the need to look at scientific issues in a different way than the archaic, systemic approach that we deal with in the case of chemistry, physics, mathematics in our school programs. The effect of our participation in the project is a) placing science in its many varieties in the central point of our lives, b) a deeper understanding of the world around us, c) drawing full throttle from scientific discoveries and thus broadening our horizons, d) becoming more aware of the world in which we live, e) overcoming intellectual limitations, f) accustoming our minds to a creative way of thinking. Thanks to participation in the project, the world of science has permanently entered our lives, and has an increasingly positive impact on our everyday lives, on all possible levels (scientific, educational, professional, private, related to passions and hobbies, etc.). By delving into issues related to science, we managed to look at our lives in an unconventional way, leaving behind the patterns and thought traps that have accompanied us for years, opening completely new "doors" in our minds that allow us to enjoy and be fascinated by the world around us and its extremely complex form. Participation in the project "If The World Were What We Think It Is, It Would Be Completely Different" has made science a tool for us that allows us to: experience the beauty of the world around us, find the meaning of life, expand our awareness of humanity, find answers to existential questions. By taking part in the youth exchange, we achieved the following goals: 1) we became aware of the principles of education systems in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal, Lithuania and Hungary and we were able to compare them, 2) we created maps of educational opportunities and threats based on knowledge of the educational systems operating in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal, Lithuania and Hungary, as well as more broadly in the EU, 3) we had a fascinating meeting and interacted with the renowned scientist Dr. Tomasz Pięciak, 4) we found a common denominator for the world of science and culture and art (based on inspiration drawn from the scientific and artistic activities of Prof. Andrzej Dragan), 5) we gained motivation to delve into the world of science, research and innovation, 6) we learned about new methods and approaches to teaching and learning, 7) we experienced the power of non-formal education in the educational process, 8) we found inspiration to acquire scientific knowledge, 9) we visited the Tarnów Academy and acquired knowledge about its functioning, 10) we used tools from the field of culture and art to promote and popularize science (through the implementation of happenings), 11) we learned how to interact with recipients and exert the desired influence at the local, regional, national and international level, 12) we understood how important evaluation activities and dissemination of project results are in the process of project implementation, 13) we developed language competences and work in an international environment, 14) we learned the practical side of the principles of project implementation under the Erasmus+ program, 15) we developed project awareness (in terms of project management and communication within it), 16) we developed European awareness, 17) we experienced cultural cognition, 18) we acquired an attitude of tolerance and openness to other people, 19) we broke the stereotypical way of thinking in relation to other nations, 20) we developed creativity, learned to go beyond thought patterns, broaden our horizons, 19) we overcame our own limitations (shyness, fear of communicating in a foreign language, low self-esteem, etc.) and acquired self-confidence and a conviction that we have the power to make things happen.
