The main goal of the project “Cookbook: A European heritage” was to create and strengthen international cultural dialogue by offering practical opportunities to engage and develop bonds between young people from Poland, Czech Republic, and Bulgaria. We wanted to involve local communities in adopting the best features of our cultures, sharing recipes and culinary traditions, exchanging knowledge and experiences, learning how different languages can tell the same story. We promoted eco-education and respect for nature and each other. Main objectives of our project were: - Study and discover the culinary differences and similarities of different regions. The idea of the dinner table being a cultural goldmine is very important because it can culturally shape people starting right from their childhood. - Discover how diversity can unite people by exploring different points of view on common aspects of life - culture, cuisine, and language. Czech and Polish languages have many similarities but it will be a journey of discovery to find out what unites us all the way south to Bulgaria and its peculiarities. - Strengthening international cooperation between small towns of Poland, Czech Republic, and Bulgaria. - Involving young learners in an open cultural dialogue and promoting responsible consumption and eco-education. - Practically use techniques of critical thinking, debate and exchange ideas together, learn how to present own ideas and not be afraid of public speaking. And above all: civic activity, involvement in social matters, increasing intercultural knowledge and environmental awareness, openness to dialogue of what makes us European.
