Objectives

The Green Innovators project was conceived as a youth mobility initiative with a strong emphasis on fostering green and social entrepreneurship skills through a peer-to-peer approach. With a preparatory phase of digital collaboration, a 12-day mobility phase involving youth from Poland, Greece, and Armenia, and subsequent follow-up activities, the project aimed to enrich participants' understanding of environmentally friendly practices. The goal was to cultivate an awareness and implementation of business ideas that prioritize the environment, significantly enhancing knowledge in this critical area. The primary objective of Green Innovators was to inspire and motivate both youth workers and young participants towards adopting eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. This was to be accomplished using a dynamic, active, non-formal learning framework comprising workshops, exercises, debates, and even a recycling fashion show led by youth leaders. The methodology of "learning by doing" was pivotal, as all activities were meticulously designed and executed by the youth leaders with substantial input from the participants. This approach not only aimed to augment their comprehension of sustainability and environmental concerns but also to polish essential soft skills including leadership, creativity, initiative, time management, and project management. Furthermore, the project served as a platform for participants to deepen their understanding of the Erasmus+ program, enabling them to disseminate these opportunities among their peers. A significant focus of the mobility was placed on ecological consciousness, emphasizing practical actions such as recycling and waste segregation that directly contribute to the sustainability of learning mobilities. These sustainable practices were not only to be adopted by the participants during the project but also to be documented and reported, with support from the organizing bodies, thereby ensuring a lasting impact. Through Green Innovators, youth leaders and participants were poised to not just expand their knowledge on environmental stewardship but also to embody and propagate the principles of sustainability and environmental respect within their communities and beyond.
