Objectives

With this project, we aimed to send a message to the youngsters that by becoming polyglots, they would be in a position to easily overcome economic obstacles. It did not matter their social background or current situation; being a polyglot was presented as a power that opened every door for them. Generally speaking, being a polyglot offered opportunities for a better and more fulfilled life. The question of how many languages it was important for youngsters to learn depended on the individual, but we emphasized that it was always better to be safe than sorry. You could never know when the next opportunity might come along. For those who were not prepared, there was a risk of being left behind or losing valuable opportunities. It was a widespread myth that learning new languages was complicated and difficult. With this project, we proved the contrary. We showed the ocean of opportunities available for learning languages, as well as different methods and strategies. The objectives of the project were: to fight youth unemployment as a common problem in Europe; to promote language learning and linguistic diversity; to foster mutual understanding and cooperation between young people from different cultures and differently developed local areas; to support cultural diversity in different local and national realities; to develop a sense of belonging to the common European idea and EU citizenship; to contribute to the development of key competences of young participants; to exchange good practices, experiences, and competencies between the participants using experiential and peer-to-peer learning; to foster future cooperation amongst organizations; to raise awareness about the Erasmus+ program and Youthpass.
