Objectives

The project has dealt with very important issues related to the search for solutions that will make a person live better through caring for the natural environment and changing their behaviors regarding their own health and lifestyle (food). In this way, the context was created, which, on the one hand, allowed to expose individual attitudes and views on important topics, on the other hand, it made it possible to raise important issues on a global scale, because during the project young people were encouraged to discuss the clean environment, develop technology and its impact on man, healthy lifestyle, food production, and thus elements that make up creating the future. In this future, the current young generation will play the most important role, which is why the main goal of the project is to organize discussions around these extremely important topics to build a sense of belonging to society in the project, to encourage social activity in accordance with the principles of the Erasmus+ programme. The idea of the discussion turned out to be a shot in 10, because the Oxford debate unleashed various ideas in the participants and allowed them to speak, formulate arguments and repel counter-arguments. Interestingly, among all the issues that were discussed, and which were exposed during the exchange (ecology, technology, food) the issue of youth participation and its impact on the surrounding reality turned out to be the most interesting and important for the participants, which is visible in the formulation of the topic: Can young people change the world? The topic was democratically elected, which is just as important. The debate ended with such a strong accent, although there was a lot of it during it. Young people worked with activating methods, learning to think critically and logically, got to know Poland and other countries, learned about the technology of nutrition and learned to count calories on the example of apple pie. An important matter raised (during the exchange was the war in Ukraine (the center lies only a few dozen kilometers from the Polish-Ukrainian border), which was also the cause of fears of coming to Poland. During the exchange, in addition to social involvement, the problem of food and its production (here common baking of apple pie and preparing dishes from the countries of origin of the participants, a visit to the farm-cultivating of tomatoes and cucumbers and getting acquainted with biotechnology. Talks about technology were much less important for the participants, including 3d printing (this was only marked in a symptomatic way). The assumption that the basis for the exchange is an interaction and a meeting that enables integration and exchange of views, taking action for health and well-being and building social ties that effectively counteract exclusion, and foster the acceptance and integration of young people at European level. Internet technology has been used as planned to vote on the the thesis set in the Oxford Debate debate (Can young people change the world?). Concern for the environment has been highlighted by individual decisions on how to change its management of water, food, stinking and recycling. These issues were drawn to the authors of science-fiction stories, which were to end the project. The stories showed the future more in the journalistic than literary dimension, but they did their job. Knowledge about Europe has also increased, including the historical dimension thanks to the visit to Treblinka, a German extermination camp near Lublin. In addition to the Oxford debate, we worked using the techniques of improvisation theatre, critical thinking methods and other building relationships in the group. Evenings devoted to individual countries were important.
