Objectives

In the 21st Century, the proliferation of modern digital technologies has significantly impacted how people interact with information and each other. This constant influx of information contributes to increased stress and anxiety, particularly among young people, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdowns and social distancing measures further isolated young people, disrupting face-to-face interactions and intensifying mental health issues. The primary aim of the project was to combat mental health issues among youth, especially during emergency situations like the COVID-19 pandemic, and to promote a healthy lifestyle. The specific objectives were: To create and provide practical methods that young people can use independently to manage mental health and promote a healthy lifestyle. To increase awareness of the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of young people. To encourage intercultural dialogue and understanding among young people from different countries, fostering a sense of European identity and active citizenship. To motivate young people to engage in health and well-being activities at local, national, and international levels. To enable young people to discuss common challenges related to mental health, share experiences and best practices, and develop solutions to these challenges. We equipped young people with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle; Foster resilience against stress and mental health challenges exacerbated by the pandemic; Facilitate the exchange of cultural practices and experiences among youth from different countries; Promote active involvement of youth in health-oriented activities and community-building efforts; Create a network of young individuals capable of supporting each other in maintaining mental health and well-being. These objectives were designed to address the urgent need for mental health support among young people, exacerbated by the digital age and the COVID-19 pandemic. The project sought to provide young people with the tools and community support necessary to navigate these challenges and promote long-term mental and physical well-being.
