The main objective of the project had been to increase the competencies of 16 young people aged 19–30 (8 participants from Poland and 8 from Iceland) in the field of digital skills—mainly social media, photography, and video—as well as in conducting digital campaigns aimed at raising public awareness about climate change and environmental protection. Moreover 3 group leaders were involved, age above 30 years old. In total 19 people. Specific Objectives We had aimed to identify and understand the key elements and skills of digital storytelling and to explore their potential benefits for learning, personal development, and employability. Some participants had wanted to strengthen their professional skills and create their first portfolios of projects, photographs, and films. We had discussed new needs in terms of awareness, ethics, and knowledge that have emerged in the social and digital era. We had explored the concept of "transformational storytelling": using digital storytelling as an innovative tool to address challenges such as the climate crisis. We had aimed to create an international network of young people and organizations capable of using digital storytelling to develop skills and methodologies and to generate innovative impact at the local level. We had intended to ensure that trainers, facilitators, and youth workers became more aware of the many diverse aspects of digital storytelling, through the creation of TikToks, reels, stories, etc. We had reflected on the enormous potential of storytelling in terms of learning, and personal and professional development. We had sought to demonstrate how digital stories can be a powerful platform to shift awareness regarding climate change.
