The project aims to create a space for young people with diverse backgrounds to come together and explore how to foster understanding among different cultures and regions. Through creative expression and artistic workshops young people are supported to discover the varieties of identities and appreciate them. In this way they are empowered to be curious and learn how diversity could be appreciated, included and tolerated The project holds a space for young people and supports them to express themselves in creative ways and explore how they can connect with other people despite the diversity. Through theatre, music and body movement workshops, we wanted to create a safe space to build trust and exchange common values while challenging them to confront the prejudices and stereotypes they hold. This space could be seen as a space for dialogues, into which each participant is welcome and encouraged to shape the space. These activities promote the principles of pluralism, inclusiveness and equality, which are the topics related to democratic standards. Through the reflection of the participants, we also aim to enhance the visibility of youth engagement in European projects and promote Erasmus plus on social media. Among the skills that the participants gain during the non-formal education are collaboration, innovative thinking that is linked to creativity, empathy and flexibility. These are necessary skills not only for personal and professional development but also to build a resilient generation that will be able to face the future full of uncertainty. The ability to manage one's emotions and make connections with other people will help young people to maintain their well-being and reduce the symptoms of stress and depression. On this notion we would like to point out the downside of excessive usage of social media that leads young people to isolation and loneliness. To build a cohesive and cooperative society, it is essential to equip the future generation with intercultural skills, stress management abilities, and strategies for handling uncertainty. Additionally, fostering a sense of solidarity, tolerance, and empathy, while empowering them to enhance their skills not only for employability but also to become active citizens, is crucial for addressing current global issues. During the project we were transparent and shared a story of how this project was initiated among the participants of Contact Making Seminar. The objectives of the project are: Enhance self-awareness, facilitate building trust among the participants, foster open-mindset to be able connect with oneself and other people and to promote diversity, inclusivity and respect Equip the participants with knowledge and practical skills to manage stress situation and calm the mind Using artistic approaches as therapeutic tool as well as a practise for problem solving and innovative thinking Empower young people to overcome the fear of communication in foreign language and encourage them to express their thoughts and opinions and lead them to foster cooperation, empathy and solidarity Objectives: To achieve that, the project uses the methodologies of non-verbal theater, music, and body movement activities. These are the means that enhance self-awareness, facilitate trust building, foster open-mindness to connect with oneself and other people. Theater, dances and music is the universal language which has the power to connect, bond, unify groups, explore the complexity of communication and appreciate diversity and build respect. Performing art will practice a sense of self-worth and confidence in abilities. Art can facilitate the connection between the mind and the body and help with mental distress and the managing stresfull situations. We would like to integrate art into everyday life and promote artistic expression as an imaginative tool for adapting to changing conditions, solving problems and eventually make art as a therapeutic tool for daily uses. As this is an intercultural project, these activities will empower young people to overcome the fear of communication in a foreign language and expressing one's own thoughts and opinions. We included activities which aim to support youngsters to recognise their own and other's feelings, learn about acceptance and tolerance. Artistic workshops will enable them to have their own creative expression and explore how they can influence one's and others' lives through participation, which will help them to act in solidarity, foster empathy and cooperation. Body movements, artistic expression and stimulative interactions will engage young people to explore and spend their time in a more meaningful way than spending time mindlessly on social media, as this is the dominant problem of young generations in nowadays. Furthermore these activities will allow youngsters to learn about the diverse cultures, practices, traditions and customs of European countries.
