Objectives

The primary goal of the project "Youth Workers = Critical Thinkers" was to enhance the critical thinking skills of youth workers, enabling them to support young people in navigating the digital information landscape effectively. Specific Objectives: Enhance Knowledge on Fake News: Increase youth workers' understanding of how false information is created and spread on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. Identify Critical Thinking Gaps: Explore reasons behind the lack of critical thinking skills among young people to develop targeted interventions. Develop Critical Thinking Skills: Improve youth workers' abilities to analyze and interpret media messages, empowering them to educate young people on evaluating online information critically. Systematize Knowledge on Information Society: Provide structured understanding of the information society and its impacts. Highlight Internet Risks: Educate youth workers on the risks associated with internet use, ensuring they can teach young people about safe online practices. Facilitate Experience Exchange: Create opportunities for youth workers from different countries to share experiences and best practices. Challenge Stereotypes and Biases: Promote open-mindedness and reduce prejudices through intercultural exchanges and collaborative activities. By achieving these objectives, the project aimed to equip youth workers with the skills and knowledge necessary to help young people become more discerning consumers of information, fostering a more informed, critical, and resilient youth population.
