Objectives

Background The "improWISE 4.0" project was a continuation and a multiplier effect of the previous editions of the project. After the highly effective results of the previous initiative, together with partners from Greece and Spain, during the follow-up sessions and after testing the tools in local communities, it was found worthwhile to further deepen the issues related to the topic both with additional subject matter (musical improvisation) and to create conditions for additional exchange and creation of innovative tools with new partners. This involved additional opportunities to explore "at the source" the possibilities of non-verbal communication and its equivalent, as well as significantly expanding the portfolio of activities offered. Achieved Objectives: 1- 24 youth workers were equipped with tools and methods for social inclusion and social prevention of radicalization of youth with fewer opportunities, based on music, drama and improvisation. 2- At least 10 unique tools were created to counter radicalization of young people, based on a combination of non-formal education methods and musical improvisation. 3- A portfolio with a record of counter-radicalization methods was developed that could be disseminated to other organizations, youth workers and people working on the topic of counter-radicalization and inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities. 4- Participants explored their own, group and societal values underlying radicalization tendencies, presented and became familiar with tools for working on them and their use in the context of work with target groups. 5- The project reached out to marginalized groups of youth, within the framework of promoting diversity, critical thinking, sense of initiative and respect for human rights within the framework of reducing discriminatory manifestations. 6- Youth workers were equipped with the competencies, skills, and methods necessary in transmitting European values to disadvantaged groups, additionally countering radical behavior. 7- An exchange of good practices and methods among participants from partner organizations occurred, along with networking (sharing experiences and attitudes, in terms of methods that were effective in their work and those that did not work within the target groups). 8- Methods based on non-formal education principles were presented and the Erasmus+ program was promoted (presentation of new methods of working with participants/youth with fewer opportunities and regarding the possibility to use them in the context of different forms of support offered by Erasmus+ program). 9- The quality of activities implemented in the field of youth work was increased, especially in the context of working with groups with fewer opportunities, especially in the context of using new and innovative techniques and anti-radicalization methods among young people. 10- Knowledge regarding peer education was increased and created a safe environment to test it in local groups.
