Objectives

The project partners wanted to use lessons learned from the pandemic and the Ukraine war to improve youth work. They aimed to create a powerful learning experience that would help youth workers better support young people's emotional, mental, and physical needs in their communities. The objectives set forth were as follows: - Knowledge: Throughout the 10-month duration of the project, 24 youth workers understood the pivotal role of youth work in promoting the mental well-being of young people. They engaged in non-formal education activities designed to mitigate stress and anxiety, fostering a positive, self-aware, and empathetic approach. - Skills: Participation in project activities enabled youth workers to cultivate resilience, enhance self-awareness, sharpen problem-solving abilities, adopt a solution-oriented mindset, and overall enhance their professional proficiency. - Attitude: Over the project's duration, participants developed heightened motivation and self-confidence to actively contribute to society. They recognized the direct correlation between their personal well-being and their ability to empower others, thereby fostering effective community engagement. These objectives were aligned with the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, exemplifying the strategy's core pillars of Engage, Connect, and Empower. The project aimed to stimulate youth workers' active involvement in community life, thereby supporting civic and social progress. By creating and implementing international opportunities, the project strengthened cooperation among European organisations, fostering the development of a robust and quality-oriented body of work in the field of youth work. In essence, the project aimed to contribute towards building resilient communities and empowering young people to thrive in an increasingly complex world.
