Objectives

The goal of the project was to strengthen and develop the competencies of youth workers in topics related to responding to the current environmental-social crisis and, in the long term, to build a European network of regenerative practitioners. The specific objectives of the project with regard to youth workers were as follows: 1) To deepen knowledge and understanding of the environmental-social crisis and in terms of regenerative approaches and regenerative culture, especially in the areas of: - climate crisis, degradation of natural ecosystems, loss of biodiversity and their social impacts - approaches to the climate crisis such as the concept of deep adaptation (based, among other things, on the materials of the Deep Adaptation approach proposed by Prof. Jem Bendell) - regenerative development approaches (based on the materials of the Regenesis Institute, among others), including: the concept of sustainability, permaculture principles and regenerative agriculture, a systems approach to organizations and communities (living system thinking) - understanding the concept of regenerative/transformative cultures (including, among others, with reference to the Whole Systems Design for Sustainability model promoted by the Global Ecovillage Network) 2) Strengthening the skills of working with groups especially on the topics of the climate crisis and regenerative approaches. In this area, we considered it particularly important to strengthen and develop the skills of youth workers in: - working with emotions and attitudes in working with groups with a particular focus on working with young people - empathetic communication (nonviolent communication based on the NVC model), deep listening and creating an atmosphere conducive to the safe expression of emotions and opinions by young people - creating interesting and innovative campaigns and activities involving young people - motivating young people to: take action in their social environment, develop their own competencies and skills, shape attitudes and a worldview conducive to life, develop skills of cooperation and co-creation in teams 3) To develop the competence of cooperation in an international team, which resulted in the development of a model training program for young people on the subject of the project. 4) To increase the exchange of practices and develop cooperation between partner organizations in the field of the project's theme, and to strengthen the impact of our organizations in our environment. 5) To popularize the theme of regenerative development in the context of the environmental -social crisis among a wide audience in our communities.
