All the objectives lead to enhancing the capacities of youth workers in the realm of sustainability. At the core of our initiative was the desire to empower 25 youth workers through comprehensive training courses designed to develop their knowledge, skills, and methodologies related to ecological sustainability. Our objectives unfolded from this central aim, adhering to the SMART criteria: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Firstly, we sought to ensure that throughout the project's duration, participants would acquire knowledge on developing sustainable strategies and methodologies while designing environmentally-friendly activities. These strategies were intended to help youth workers act as role models and "mentors for a greener lifestyle," significantly impacting the young people in their engagement. The first objective was intended to create a solid foundation in sustainability knowledge, which would then be disseminated to the youth they work with. We have accomplishe that by the Secondly, we aimed to empower participants to gain practical skills in implementing varied non-formal education (NFE) activities related to the environment. Specifically, we set a measurable target for each participant to successfully implement at least three activities promoting sustainability. This objective was designed to foster a hands-on approach to learning, wherein participants not only absorbed theoretical knowledge but also translated this knowledge into actionable strategies within their communities. This involved engaging youth in interactive, non-formal educational settings that heightened their awareness and involvement in environmental issues.
