The main objective of the project was to promote civic involvement, including participation in elections at all levels of government, projects or initiatives that allow their participants to directly influence decision-making (e.g. Citizen's Budget) through participation in votes or plebiscites, as well as a general increase in knowledge and awareness of democratic processes underlying the state system and the EU as a whole among members of the target groups. The intermediate goal was to create a teaching tool that reduces passive methods of information transfer in favour of methodologies based on social constructivist currents, emphasising learning by doing, experiencing and reflecting on them, which is later available indefinitely as a module for teachers to use in their lessons and for youth group leaders to use on their own, together with research results on the effectiveness. This involved the use of larps, a game-play activity focused on the construction of a shared story by players playing characters placed in a given story context, designing game scenarios based on specific learning outcomes according to Bloom's taxonomy. In doing so, the already developed practices for the creation, implementation and facilitation of games of this type in the context of formal education successfully used in Scandinavian countries and the experience of key team members in this matter were applied. The whole exercise was placed in the context of subject knowledge in history and social studies, appropriately extended to create a coherent, structured didactic process based on experiential learning methodology. It was carried out in active cooperation with educators and headmasters of educational establishments in the region where the wider target group, i.e. secondary school students (high schools/technical schools/trade schools), are taught. The whole project was carried out with the involvement of a group of young people focused on the day-to-day activities of the foundation. Its members were themselves often deprived of agency and self-determination at some point in their lives, as described in more detail in the section on organization. Through long-term, process-based action in a community that reinforces agency, encourages and supports initiative at every point in the process, operating on the basis of voluntary participation and democratic decision-making, they learned and understood the importance of trying together to achieve goals for the common good. A set of educational materials has been created for later use by any educator - scenarios with case studies and instructions for use, which will allow the goals to be achieved also after the end of the project and outside the dedicated area the possibility of adapting it to different target groups.
