The aim of the project and the expected outcome was to implement changes in youth policies in the municipalities of Kościelisko, Rabka-Zdrój, and Nowy Sącz, in accordance with the programs developed prior to the project—programs for which the three youth councils intended to continue their advocacy efforts. The idea was to complete the cycle of public policy-making with young people, so that it would not stop at the "proposing changes" stage but would lead to their implementation in various forms and to joint evaluation with youth participation. We aimed to achieve at least one of the following three forms of implementing these changes: the incorporation of the programs into local law through adoption by municipal or city councils, the realization of at least part of the outcomes without formal program adoption, through advocacy toward public administration or other partners, the creation of a civil society structure capable of independently implementing these demands in the future. However, the project's goals were not solely the policy changes themselves, but primarily: engaging young people aged 13–26 in our three municipalities/cities to participate in the advocacy process leading to the development of youth policies in these areas, consolidating and strengthening the civic and advocacy competencies of youth organizations, school/university student governments, and youth councils in these three municipalities/cities, so they can jointly work to ensure young people’s rights and development opportunities based on their identified needs, mainstreaming youth policy—promoting the concept of active youth participation in shaping youth policies.
