Objectives

Through social inclusion, the project was intended to break down all barriers: economic, cultural, social, related to limited access to education and training systems, and discrimination. Its main mission was the integration of representatives from two nations - Poland and UKR, with a particular emphasis on war refugees. The project was addressed to teenagers in order to instill valuable attitudes in them from an early age and make them a habit - starting from a pro-European perspective, through continuous development and the acquisition of new competences, acquiring characteristics and contacts, to caring for their health and the environment. The project involved young people who were particularly vulnerable to exclusion and who needed more support in equalizing opportunities. The extensive promotion of the project made it possible to reach people around the world with an appeal for solidarity with those in need and popularized foster care in a situation where research indicates a huge shortage of people willing to become foster parents. The project is also a response to reports, among others, from NIK, which point to significant problems with the independence of young people from care and educational institutions and the fact that they focus mainly on meeting the basic life needs of the charges, not sufficiently implementing care, educational, and developmental tasks.
