The objectives of the project "Astrotrip - in the footsteps of Nicolaus Copernicus" were implemented in accordance with the assumptions: 1. Promoting education through discovery - the project was to enable young people to learn in an engaging and practical way. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of astronomy and get to know historical places related to Nicolaus Copernicus through direct experience. 2. Strengthening interest in science among young people with fewer opportunities - the project was aimed mainly at young people from smaller towns (less than 20,000 inhabitants), who have limited access to extracurricular education and international experiences. Thanks to participation in the educational trip, they could develop their passions and acquire new competences. 3. Developing intercultural and linguistic competences - by traveling to various places related to the life of Copernicus (including Bologna, Padua, Ferrara), participants had the opportunity to experience different cultures and languages, which was to increase their openness and self-confidence. 4. Improving planning skills and independence - young people actively participated in planning the route, choosing places to visit and organizing educational activities. This developed their organizational skills and entrepreneurship. 5. Supporting integration and social involvement – project participants had the opportunity to cooperate with the Jagiellonian University Scientific Clubs and establish contacts with other young people interested in science and travel. 6. Implementation of the statutory objectives of the coordinating organization – the project was fully consistent with the mission of the Antares Foundation, which aims to popularize science and support education through mobility projects and non-formal education. Thanks to this, the organization could effectively implement its statutory assumptions in practice. 7. Development of the educational offer of the coordinating organization – thanks to the implementation of the project, the Antares Foundation enriched its educational offer by implementing new methods of working with young people, including learning through traveling, combining exploration of historical places and astronomical observations. The experience gained in the project was used to develop further educational programs that will be used in the organization's future initiatives. 8. Raising the profile of the National Astronomy Competition "Astrolabium" - the project contributed to increasing the recognition and prestige of the "Astrolabium" Competition, as some of the mobility participants were its winners. Thanks to this, more students became interested in participating in the competition, and the Antares Foundation was able to promote astronomy more effectively among young people throughout Poland. The project was carried out in four editions, each involving 5 participants and 2 accompanying persons. Each group had a great deal of autonomy in shaping its own route and program of activities. Much emphasis was placed on education through experience - participants had the opportunity to independently prepare materials, conduct astronomical observations and participate in reflection meetings.
