Rzeszów University of Technology strives for strengthening its scientific and didactic position on regional, national and international level, upgrading study programmes, boosting various forms of international cooperation. Participation in the Erasmus programme is an important tool to accomplish the process. The university takes part in the Erasmus programme from the very start of its presence in Poland that is from 1998. Since then the university is guided by the objective of constant increase in the numbers of mobile participants and partnerships at its disposal. The present project is an excellent example of reaching this aim due to newly gained partners in Mexico and Azerbaijan. Subsequently, another important aim was reached – networking. The possibility to set new academic acquaintances is an invaluable chance to build up international partnerships. Its fruits are joint applications for international grants and patents, conference papers and other. It is worth stressing that regardless distance or frequency of mobilities various research schemes are maintained and continued with the success.
