Objectives

The exchange of knowledge between the organizations was to serve the development of both organizations in terms of creativity and art, as well as to serve to activate Polish seniors and become the basis for intergenerational cooperation. Detailed objectives: - personal development of participants through participation in artistic activities - cooperation between generations, exchange of knowledge and experiences - creative development of the Greek theater group - activation of seniors from the Polish organization of the third age - increasing awareness of recycling among Polish seniors - development of personal competences - increasing language competences and cultural knowledge about the partner countries - expanding the educational offer of both organizations

Background

The main need identified by both partners was the development of our organizations - in the case of UTW, we aimed to develop the organization of seniors in the artistic and creative field, increase the educational offer, introduce new classes in these disciplines, in the case of Fabrica Athens, the need was intergenerational development so that we could start directing our activities to a new group of recipients - seniors. An important need of UTW is the activation of seniors in new fields, striving to enable them to develop personally, increase self-confidence and counteract their social and intellectual exclusion. We constantly strive to develop the interests of seniors and their continuing education, and participation in the Erasmus + project not only allowed them to learn a language abroad, but also was an opportunity to learn geography and history, and intergenerational cooperation with partners from Greece influenced the introduction of representatives of other cultures and broadening horizons, which is impossible due to the financial situation of the members of our university (pensioners and annuitants).
