Exchange knowledge, experience and know-how through learning best practices, cooperation with experts, networking with organizations and institutions. Improve partners' skills in managing international projects and working together on results. Introduce the subject of Circular Economy into partners curricula, equip trainers and educators with this knowledge. Disseminate the subject to the general public through ICT.

Background

The scientific research on the environmental crisis is unequivocal. It is the result of a linear economy. The transition to a circular economy is the only alternative for the future of the Earth. Understanding this fact is needed at every level of our society. Sustainable development, a healthy environment and halting climate change depend on the participation of every citizen. The EC emphasizes the role of every citizen in creating change and therefore contributing to sustainable development. For this to happen environmental awareness is needed. The implementation of the EC's plan for the transition to a circular economy needs grassroots action and active attitudes of citizens. From surveys of environmental awareness in the partners' countries and the partners' own analysis, it emerged that there is a great need for education about the circular economy, especially among local communities. The project responded to the need for transnational activities and networks among partners and countries with different cultures, social and economic situations. The project also addressed the need to strengthen the sense of belonging to a European community through which its members can inspire one another, act and influence eco-development.
