We aplied for this project because we saw the need to educate students about healthy lifestyles specially healthy eating and mental well-being.We noticed that our students eat improperly, and many of them can't prepare a healthy meal because they do not have the appropriate knowledge and skills. We have understood that habits connected with health are formed since early childhood and they are the basic condition to normal growth ,good self being in physical and psychological meaning. It enables better learning abilities like concentration of attention ,logical thinking, cognitive functions and memory. We learnt that good health determines adaptation to school conditions and then to finding a job.Sadly, young people ,specially mentally disabled but also with other disabilities( represented by children attending our three partner schools) are not always aware of the big influence of diet on their health. What is worse ,their parents are not either. Most our students were overweightand suffered from metabolic diseases .They were addicted to sugar and snacks. This difficult situation was deepened by the lockdown during the covid-19 pandemic. We observed it every school day and wanted to intervene to fix the situation
