By implementing this project we wanted to achieve the following objectives: 1. To integrate Ukrainian refugees and people with fewer opportunities in Czechia and Poland into local communities through outdoor activities 2. To exchange best practices between organisations, to boost the work of the Náš tábor organisation and bring a greater European dimension to organisations' youth work 3. To educate activities participants about environmental ideas and issues 4. To raise awareness about European values and identity among participants through discussions, common activities, exchange 5. To create a better cross-border understanding and cooperation between members and target groups of participating organisations. 6. To make a positive impact on the issue of environmental change and provide participants with specific knowledge and skills on how to reduce their negative impact on ecology and climate change
We applied for this project to support the integration of Ukrainian refugees and young people with fewer opportunities in Czechia and Poland through outdoor activities. Both Logos Polska and Náš tábor recognized that outdoor experiences foster social inclusion, cooperation, and personal development. Since 2022, Logos Polska has focused on refugee support, using camping, hiking, and climbing to help integration. However, we needed a structured approach and partnerships to expand these activities. For Náš tábor, this project provided an opportunity to develop youth work, build EU partnerships, and strengthen outdoor education. Their experience in work with disadvantaged youth showed the need for new engagement strategies. A 2022 survey found that 80% of Ukrainian refugees wanted better community involvement and EU understanding, while many lacked environmental awareness. This project helps by promoting inclusion, European values, and sustainability.
