The main objective of the project was to shape and strengthen the key competences required on the labor market, with particular emphasis on entrepreneurship and the ability to plan one's own career path. We wanted to prepare students to consciously manage their development, better understand the conditions of the labor market, and respond flexibly to its changes. The specific objectives mainly concerned students and included: acquiring career planning skills, developing language and digital competences, familiarizing themselves with an international environment, building relationships with peers while respecting cultural differences, developing teamwork, data analysis, and creative problem-solving skills, as well as the practical use of ICT tools and the creation of business models using the CANVAS method. In the case of teachers, our goal was to fulfill the core curriculum in an interesting way, learn about innovative teaching tools, improve student motivation, exchange experiences with foreign partners, and develop the language skills of the staff. Through the project, we wanted to achieve both tangible results (including 25 lesson plans, an educational platform, and thematic presentations) and intangible results.
We applied for the project because we recognized the growing needs of students in terms of preparing for a dynamically changing labor market. We see that young people often leave school with solid theoretical knowledge, but without the practical skills necessary for adult life: entrepreneurship, critical thinking, flexibility, teamwork, and career planning. The project responded to the need to develop key competences in the spirit of the “Lifelong Learning” strategy and the challenges of the modern world – globalization, technological progress, and professional mobility in Europe. We wanted to strengthen students' motivation, their sense of agency, and their willingness to invest in themselves, as well as equip them with tools to consciously shape their future. At the same time, the project gave teachers the opportunity to learn about innovative teaching methods, exchange experiences with foreign partners, and make entrepreneurship classes more attractive. Thanks to this, we were able to improve the quality of education, better prepare students for social and professional life, and build a school that is open to Europe, modern, and supportive of the development of every young person.
