Objectives

Through the realization of this project, we aimed primarily to enhance the employability of young people by equipping them with practical and transferable skills that could support them in their future professional and personal lives. We wanted participants to develop competences such as teamwork, creativity, communication, and self-confidence, which are essential in today’s labour market. Another important objective was to improve the digital skills of young people. By introducing them to various online tools and digital platforms, we wanted to increase their awareness of how technology can support creative work and collaboration, particularly within the cultural and creative sectors. The project also aimed to strengthen cooperation between partner organisations from six countries. By working together, we wanted to exchange experiences, improve our methods of working with young people, and develop practical methodologies that could be used in the future. As a result, the project contributed not only to the development of participants, but also to the long-term capacity building of the partner organisations.

Background

We decided to apply for the project because we work with a target group of young people who often lack the skills necessary to be competitive in the labour market. Many of them need support in developing soft skills, creativity, teamwork and self-confidence. We believed that music could be an effective and engaging tool to address these needs and to help young people develop these competences in a practical and motivating way. The project was also inspired by the great success of the first Musilingue project. The previous partnership consisted of only four organisations, but the results were very positive. Therefore, we decided to expand the partnership and involve more organisations in order to increase the project’s impact both on partner organisations and on young people participating in the activities. One of the key needs was to strengthen international cooperation and create a methodology that could be used by other organisations working with youth. Another important goal was to introduce international music workshops as a permanent element of the educational activities offered by our organisations. Young people were able to gain new skills, improve their collaboration in multicultural groups and imrove.
