Objectives

IPCA sees internationalisation as one of its strategic vectors, recognising it as a key element in maintaining a high level of quality in its teaching projects, applied research, and interaction with society, while promoting the institution in an increasingly competitive academic world. Community programmes are a fundamental resource for achieving these goals, and this specific project was designed to respond to them through a set of clear and interconnected objectives. In particular, the project aimed to: - Consolidate a structured academic cooperation platform that strengthens and broadens relations between partner institutions and individuals, creating long-term, sustainable networks. - Diversify mobility opportunities for students, graduates, and staff, offering unique capacity-building experiences that enrich academic, professional, and personal development. - Promote institutional and societal development, by reinforcing education, training, research, organisational structures, and innovative practices. - Foster the acquisition and reinforcement of transversal competences such as entrepreneurship, innovation capacity, creativity, intercultural communication, as well as linguistic and technical skills that are increasingly demanded in a globalised labour market. - Enhance the employability of students and graduates, by adding the value of international experience and learning mobility to their academic path. At the same time, the project sought to ensure that inclusion and equal opportunities were embedded in mobility activities, opening the door to participants from diverse backgrounds and creating conditions for them to thrive abroad. By combining physical, blended, and short-term mobility formats, the project also aimed to make participation more flexible and accessible to a wider group of beneficiaries. Ultimately, the project was not only about sending and receiving participants, but also about embedding a culture of internationalisation within IPCA - a culture that strengthens teaching and learning, fosters innovation, and deepens the institution’s contribution to the European Education Area and to the sustainable development of the regions it serves.
